Certain public documents, such as hearing transcripts, are not posted on this site but may be obtained by contacting the Board.
NCMB public actions are posted on this site indefinitely.
Physicians and Physician Assistants who are applying for a license to practice medicine in North Carolina, but who have not practiced for the two-year period immediately preceding the filing of an application for a license, or who have not maintained continued competency as determined by the Board, must complete a Reentry Agreement as a condition of licensure. This section provides information about the licensee’s Reentry Agreement. When the conditions of the Reentry Agreement have been fulfilled, this section provides information about the Reentry Completion Letter.
This section indicates whether a regulatory authority other than NCMB has taken public action against the licensee. Out-of-state medical board actions are posted on this website indefinitely. Actions by regulatory agencies such as Medicare, Medicaid, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, etc., are posted for a period of seven years, from the date of the action.
